Roberto Ferri
A MODERN BAROUE

Italian artist Roberto Ferri is undoubtedly one of the greats of our time. Ferri is an exceptional painter inspired by artists of the baroque like Caravaggio, and other ancient masters. Ferri’s pieces of art are today part of important public and private collections all around the world.

A Great of Our Time With an Old-Style Touch

Ferri is born in Taranto, Italy, in 1978. In 1996, the artist receives his high-school qualifications in Fine Arts — always in Taranto. After that, the painter plunges into the study of painting, as a self-taught student.

Moving to Rome, Italy, in 1999, the artist concentrates his efforts in the study of great artists of the period 16th-19th century. Ferri finds inspiration in ancient masters like Caravaggio, Jaques-Louis David, Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, Anne-Louis Girodet, Jean-Louis Theodoe Gericault, William-Adolfe Bouguereau, and others. In 2006, Ferri graduates summa cum laude (with very great honor) from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome (Accademia di Belle arti di Roma), with a degree in Stage Design.

Ferri’s Artworks Extensively Exhibited

Ferri has been exhibiting since 2002, not only in Italy, but abroad, too. He was in the past part of both solo and group exhibitions in the U.S., Norway, Turkey, and Spain. Moreover, Ferri’s beautiful creations are also part of private collections all over the world: the UK, France, Canada, Qatar, Ireland, and many more.
